The Agroecology school: a professional training dedicated to sustainable agrology.

To consolidate its actions in favor of education, our NGO opened in 2021 a vocational training program in sustainable agroecology.

Our objective? To promote the professional integration of young Cambodian, and reduce the precariousness of families living in the areas surrounding the Angkor temples.

In order to continue our mission of awareness and education, we have decided, in material and financial partnership with PSE (Pour un Sourire d’Enfant), to promote sustainable agriculture through education. The Bayon School of Agroecology opened its doors in January 2021, welcoming its first class of 10 students for a one-year training course with 3 months of practical training. In 2023, the class now numbers 20 students, including 11 girls and 9 boys.

The experience of our partner, the association Vivre de sa Terre, in providing agro-ecology training in Cambodia, has enabled us to define a curriculum and training program adapted to the needs of young Cambodians and enabling rapid employability.

PARTNERSHIP WITH VIVRE DE SA TERRE

Based in Battambang, the mission of the Vivre de sa Terre association is to help small farmers by promoting their autonomy and improving their living conditions.

Over the past two years, 24 young people from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds have been trained in the principles of agroecology, and 45 farmers have beeń accompanied step by step towards ecological transition through workshops and regular monitoring.

With this vocational training program, we aim to train technicians in agro-ecology, who are also capable of entrepreneurship and bringing the values of sustainable development to their future profession. Our teaching content meets two essential criteria: practicality and employability.
